Hutchins & Co Solicitors are a friendly and professional high
street practice based in East London.
Founded
in 1971 by David Hutchins, who remains a practising consultant to
the firm, we currently have two partners, Tessa Moloney and Paul
Gilbert, who are supported by four qualified solicitors,
two trainee solicitors and secretarial staff.
We are a Legal Services Commission-franchised firm, able to provide
Legal Help and Publically-Funded services in a wide range of matters.
The level of the service we provide in this respect is reflected
by the fact that we are classed as a Category 1 firm by the Legal
Services Commission.
We hold Legal Help/Public Funding Franchises in the areas of family
law and housing law and also provide Legal Help in relation to employment,
contentious probate and welfare benefits matters. We also hold a
Franchise for personal injury work, although due to recent reforms,
public funding for personal injury cases is now extremely limited.
In addition, we provide a wide range of legal services on a privately-paying
basis, including conveyancing, probate and wills work.
Our aim is to provide to the local and wider community a legal
service that is efficient, affordable and available and at the same
time ensure that we provide a personal service to all our clients.
We are committed to equal opportunities.
